This tranquil location is a great place to escape the rat race. Yes, it was the home of the infamous Rajneesh sect in the 1980’s, replete with gun touting sect members, but those days are long gone.

We were fortunate enough to have not been back in Australia long and thanks to the generous GFC enhanced Rudd bonus we took a mid-week break here.

We had a ball, canoeing, hiking, golfing, fishing (minus the fish), and just having a relaxing time, thanks big Kev. The Drive back was not so fantastic, a heck of a long way via Albany, first and last time we will do that one. So if you are in Western Australia and you don’t mind a 4 hour drive for a few days chillaxing away from the hustle and bustle, I would recommend this place. Preferably in the off season, and you will have the place to yourselves.May be a little cold in winter so the warmer months would be advisable.
